Private by design. Synced by iCloud.
kata has no accounts and no servers of its own. Your tasks are stored on your iPhone and synced through your own iCloud account, so nothing you plan sits on a server of ours.

Your week, in your own iCloud.
Sign in to iCloud and your week syncs through it — to a second iPhone, or to the next one you buy. Sync works offline: changes wait on your iPhone and merge when you’re back online.
Not signed in to iCloud? kata works on your iPhone alone, and Settings › Data says where sync stands in one line.
The details
- Your iCloud, not ours
- Your data syncs through your iCloud account’s private database, encrypted by iCloud in transit and at rest. It never passes through a server of ours.
- No kata account
- Nothing to sign up for, no email, no password to lose. Your Apple Account is all sync needs.
- Offline first
- Everything works without a connection. Changes wait on your iPhone and merge when you are back online.
- Export any time
- Settings › Data › Export writes everything to one JSON file. Your data is yours.
- No tracking
- No ad networks, no tracking, and no analytics on your content. Crash reports reach us only through Apple, if you share analytics with developers.
- Trash, until you empty it
- Deleted things wait in the Trash, restorable to exactly where they were, until you empty it.
Questions about sync and privacy
What do you actually collect?
Nothing about your tasks. If you share analytics with app developers in your iPhone’s settings, Apple may pass crash reports on to us. The App Store handles purchases; kata never sees your payment details. The privacy policy has the detail.
What if I don’t use iCloud?
kata works fully on your iPhone without it. Your data then stays on that iPhone, so export a copy from Settings before you delete the app.
Can I share a project with someone?
No. kata is a personal planner; sharing is out of scope by design.
